I never liked water as a child;
cold, deep, dark.
Life has a way of throwing you in though;
betrayal, rejection, abandonment.
So, this week I learnt to sail. To capsize and to recover, to catch the wind and play on the water.
Knots, tiller, cleat.
Boom, ropes, sail.
Tacking and jibing or stuck in irons. Sore knees, wet feet and aching muscles
…from a dance in my Little Blue Boat.
