This Plastic Music.

From keyboards to cassettes (if you remember the 90’s) plastic has offered us endless opportunities to express ourselves. I have written about the destruction plastic has facilitated, but I’d like to remember the music too…

Tinny notes from sleek keys

Sounds from the electronic with a man made ear.

Plastic coated electricity to wend

Through notes, sounds and paperback tunes.

Vinyl courier of melody

A thing of beauty to cherish and collect.

Teen’s companion, mentor;

A soundtrack to life.

To mix and dub, to crush and pine

A cassette to edit just right.

Small pieces of soul encased in slimline plastic

Gift, a message, to give feelings voice.

Plastic was there.

An instrument, confidant and messenger.
